Today was the Chapter 30 Test.

HOMEWORK:  Please answer the following question in an essay: Define “total war.”  How did the world wars of the 20th Century demonstrate the application of  “total war?”

REMINDER:  We are winding down with a whopping 6 chapters left.  Over the next 3 weeks we will be finishing the book.

We examined how Roman society was advanced compared to other ancient societies we have studied.

We completed our exploration of Chapter 13 by exploring how governments in Europe were working in the latter half of the 1800s.

REMINDER:  There will be a test on Chapter 13 on Monday.  Tomorro will be our reveiew game.

Today we looked at the Battle of Midway and how 1942 was the turning point of WWII.

Today we examined the Peloponnesian War and saw how devastating it was to Greece.  We also started to take a look at Philip of Macedon.

We looked at Italian and German Unification in the late 1800s.

Today was the Chapter 28 test.

HOMEWORK:  Answer this comparison question:  How did gender roles change throughout World War I?

HOMEWORK 2: Begin reading Chapter 29.

We looked at the Battle of Marathon today.  Tomorrow will be the Battle of Thermopylae.

World History 9

Today we looked deepr into the railroad industry growth during the Industrial Revolution.

AP World History

We looked at other sources of information about Westernization/Industrialization in other parts of the world.

HOMEWORK:  Tomorrow is the Chapter 27 multiple choice test.  Due Monday is the written assignment answering the comparative question: Compare Industrialization in Japan to Industrialization in other non Western countries.

REMINDER:  Read in the blue book pgs 790-797 and pgs 806-808

Today was Peer Leadership.

REMINDER:  We have finished discussing Bronze and Dark Age Greece.  There will be a test on these two ages on Tuesday.  Monday will be Trivia Challenge.

We examined Napoleon’s domestic policy (which he is less known for than his military campaigns).

World History AP

We discussed Bada’uni’s memoir on the Mughal leader Ackbar.

REMINDER:  Tomorrow is the Chapter 21 multiple choice test.

HOMEWORK:  Answer this question as part of the Chapter 21 test: Between the Mughals and the Ottomans, which gunpowder empire was most successful in dealing with religious diversity?
