On our agenda today were the civilizations of the Minoans and Mycenaeans.  On Monday we will continue with the Mycenaean Civilization and examine the Trojan War from a historical standpoint.

Modern World History

We examined the cotton, coal, and iron industries in England.  Monday will be the railroad and expansion of the Industrial Revolution.

US History I

We viewed a film on the end of the Revolution and the debates between Federalists and Anti-Federalists.  Monday will be a library day for a presentation due Tuesday on specific Federalists and Anti-Federalists.   The assignment sheet will be available online Saturday.

Today we went over the mid-term exam.  We began our study of Greece by taking a look at Greek geography.

Today we went over the mid-term exam.  We began our study of the Industrial Revolution by looking at factors creating the perfect situation for industrialization to begin.

US History I

Today we went over the mid-term exam.  We continued our study of the Constitution with an introduction to an assignment on specific Federalists and Anti-Federalists.  (SEE US HISTORY I FILE PAGE FOR ASSIGNMENT SHEET)  It is due on Tuesday, February 3.

We finished our study of Napoleon by studying the Russian campaign and the Battle of Waterloo.

We watched a video on the Shays’ Rebellion today.  We will examine the Constitutional Convention and the Constitution.

Napoleon’s issues with England were discussed today.  We looked how the Battle of Trafalgar ended Napoleon’s invasion of England.

US History I

We saw how the Articles of Confederation failed and ultimately its end.
